The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has assured the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello of fervent prayers from the Christian body.
Adeboye and his entourage paid a visit to the governor in Lokoja on Saturday. It is seen as a major outing by the world-renowned pastor since the death of his son recently.
The GO who lauded the faith exhibited by the governor, particularly on the coronavirus pandemic, disclosed that it takes faith in God for the governor to have maintained his stance and even building a chapel for the Christian faithful at the government – which is the first of its kind in the state.
Adebayo said, “we have heard and seen your show of faith in God particularly in dealing with the Corona Virus. It takes the man of faith to have acted the way you did and we are very very pleased with you. We have also heard the news of how you’ve been relating to people of eve to the extent that you built the first chapel in the government house, Lokoja, we are delighted, Sir. I want to assure you that we will keep on praying for you, we will keep on praying for the people of your state and I believe that the Almighty God will answer our prayers for you. Thank you for granting us an audience.”
The governor in his remarks thanked the pastor, recounted the success of his ministry, and enjoined him to keep the people of Kogi State and Nigeria in his prayers.
Bello presented the pastor with a compendium, a symbolic fabric representing the EBIGO initiative – which is a coinage of the three major tribes in Kogi – and other materials.
The pastor in return gifted the governor a Holy Bible and other materials.
