Ahead of the election next month, Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) presidential candidate, denied rumors that he might have worked with the APC, the current government.
The lawyer-turned-politician, who has been steadfast in his campaign, called the news of alliance talks with the APC “fake news” on Wednesday.
Prince Adebayo emphasized that both the APC and PDP are not progressive political parties and insisted that the SDP would not resign for any political party.
Addressing a press team on Wednesday, Adewole said, “It is fake news. This is not from the SDP. We will never be part of such an anti-people, unprogressive alliance. APC is definitely ruled out. We will never step down or be in alliance with APC or PDP. SDP will contest the election till the end. We are working for victory. We are reaching out to the grassroots.”
