Famous Kogi philanthropist and chairman Enemona Josh Foundation has been released a day after he was arrested in Lokoja, Kogi state and moved to Lagos.

Men of the Nigerian Police force had picked Onoja from his house in Ganaja at about 10:30 am on Thursday over an issue related to financial disagreement between him (Onoja) and one of his business partners Mr Wale.

According to the head of the legal team to the Enemona Foundation, Salifu Oguche Usman, the philanthropist had no criminal record and was not arrested for fraud against earlier reports by some media outlets.

In a press release made available by the legal team, the fraud allegation is “false and baseless.”

The statement reads, “The attention of the legal team of the Enemona Josh Humanitarian Foundation has been drawn to some online publication by Sahara reporters inputting some allegations of fraud to the person of the chairman of the foundation Mr David Gabriel Enemona and we wish to respond as follows.
“That the said allegations is not only false, but baseless, unfounded and an imagination of the author of the said publication as Mr David Gabriel Enemona is not involved in any form of fraud or any other illegal activity.

“That Mr David Gabriel Enemona was actually arrested at the early hours of yesterday been the 31st April, 2023 and taken to Lagos by men of the Nigerian Police on the basis of the petition of one Mr Wale, an agelong business partner of his over some contractual disagreements.

“That Mr David and our team confronted the matter head long at the office of the Commissioner of Police today been 1st April,2022 and he has since been released and is enroute to Abuja this evening.

” We want to state with every emphasis that Mr David has no criminal record whatsoever and is not involved in any fraud whatsoever and that the attempts by the said Mr Wale to have him blackmailed through Police arrest and negative media propaganda has been squarely rebuffed.

“We implore the general public to ignore the said publication as same is outrightly unfounded and baseless.”

  1. The next time I read a blog, Hopefully it does not fail me just as much as this particular one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read through, but I truly believed youd have something helpful to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something you could possibly fix if you werent too busy seeking attention.
