NBC Boss Fired 2 Weeks After Suspending Human Rights Radio

President Muhammadu Buhari has replaced Professor Armstrong Idacha who was the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) when Human Rights Radio was suspended for unprofessional conduct on the 27 of May.

The suspension of the Human Rights Radio was contained in a statement issued by the NBC under the leadership of Idachaba after it met with the owner previously, Ahmed Isah, who is also the host of Berekete Family Show, a program on the radio station.

On Friday, Idachaba was replaced with a former BBC broadcaster, Mr. Balarabe Ilelah as the new Director-General of the NBC.

The announcement of Idachaba’s replacement was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
