How I escaped from kidnappers who killed Sowore’s brother – Woman
A lady, Emmanuella Anyanwu, who got away from the criminals who purportedly killed late Olajide Sowore on Saturday, has said the shooters requested a payment of N10m in no time before she got away from the camp where she was kept with four others.
Anyanwu, who said she was in transit from Lagos to Imo to cover her better half, expressed that she offered the criminals N500,000, however was known as a moron.
She related her experience at the police central command in Benin on Monday.
She said, “On Friday, we were coming from Lagos toward the eastern piece of the nation an,d our vehicle stalled around Okada on the edges of Benin.
“We spent the night in the vehicle. Around 6.36.30 am 7 am Saturday, a few men came out from the shrubbery, taking shots at us; we gave up. We were two women and three men.
“They took our effects, including our telephones,d walked us into the shrub. It required right around two hours to get to their camp. They blindfolded us and addressed us in a steady progression.
“They asked me where I was coming from and where I was going. I revealed to them that I was coming from Lagos and going to Imo State for my better half’s internment. They inquired as to whether I was the one giving the cash to cover my significant other and I revealed to them his sibling would do that.
“They disclosed to me that they were hijackers and they stole me due to recrecoveryhey said it didn’t have cash, they would end my life. I asked them the amount they needed, yet one of them was incensed I was asking them inquiries. I disclosed to them I had to know what they needed as payment. They inquired as to whether I had N10m and I advised them it was possible that I could get that sort of cash. I revealed to them I would give them N500,000 from the cash accumulated from my town. One of them said I was a nitwit and they advised me to plunk down.
“Then, at that point, it began coming down vigorously and they disappeared and brought another man. They took something from that man and their consideration was on it. Along these lines, I eliminated my blindfold and crawled away.
“I accept they are Fulani in because that Saturday evening, they delivered their cows and came to where we were being held.
“I saw a pole far away and I began journeying towards it. Following one hour or more, I got to a street and saw an old man on a bike. I requested that he take me to a police headquarters, which he did.”
Inquired as to whether Sowore’s sibling was killed by the posse, she said the punks took shots at various vehicles, adding that she was unable to tell if anybody kicked the bucket.
“They were cruel and cautioned us not to take a gander at their countenances. They likewise taught us not to converse with one another. They beat the men, however sa,ved the ladies. I supported the injuries on my body when I was attempting to get myself away from the hedge,” she added.
