Honourable Leke Commiserates With Family Of Late Prof Seidu Muhammed, Describes His Death As National Loss

Honourable Leke Abejide, Member of the House of Representatives representing Yagba Federal Constituency, has expressed condolences to the family of Prof Seidu Onailo Mohammed, former Director-General/Chief Executive, National Space Research and Development Agency, whose death was announced on Monday, August 8, 2022.

The House Member stated in a condolence message that the pains of Professor Seidu’s death are felt not only in Kogi but throughout the country and even beyond its borders.

He referred to the former NASRDA CEO as a humanitarian icon and fatherly leader, noting that the testimonies of his charity and the number of lives he has impacted are overwhelming.

Leke, the Chairman of the House Committee on Customs, urged the late distinguished Space Scientist’s family, management and staff of the National Space Research and Development Agency, friends and associates to take solace in the fact that the academic don had lived a life worthy of emulation, as his impact on humanity is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.


Leke also stated that the late Professor distinguished himself as a Geo-Science scholar as a Fellow and Board Member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and a major player in global Space Research and Development whose enormous contributions history will never forget as the DG, NASRDA.

The revered legislator in his message during the 8days Fidau Prayers of the Late Professor Seidu condoled with the people of Abejukolo, his coleague in the Green Chamber – Honourable Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, the Senator representing Kogi East Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, the entire Igala Kingdom, the Government and good people of Kogi State and prayed to God to grant the deceased’s soul eternal rest.
