The governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has reaffirmed his commitment to deliver good governance to the people of Kogi State.
The governor who made this known while presiding over the state Executive Council Meeting on Wednesday at the EXCO Hall, government house, Lokoja, also enjoined government officials to top their speed in efficient service delivery while putting the public interest at heart for the sake of posterity.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Onogwu Muhammad, the event also saw the inauguration of the new Head of Service, Mrs Odiyo Hannah Onyinoyi and the Chairman of KOGI State Internal Revenue Service Mr Yusuf Abubakar into the state Executive Council.
Onogwu quoted the governor to have said, “I am not building an 8-year system but one which will outlive us and be of benefit to future generations. I urge you all to put public interest above personal interest. We will all be judged by what we leave behind therefore, our collective interest must be for the interest of our people.”
