Dear Comrade

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Comrade Yusuf Abubakar and I’m a Student of Political Science, Kogi State University Ayingba.
I wish to bring to your notice my intent to contest for the position of President Student Unions Government (SUG) in the forth coming  SUG Convention/Election.

Over the past year, I have been actively involved in unionism, where I’ve been opportune to serve at different level and of different capacities.
– I was the Senator under the Adminstration of President John Amos Onimise 2018-2019.

-Director of Welfare under the Adminstration of President Jonathan shaibu 2019-2020.

– General Secretary under the adminstration of President Abdul Lawal 2020 Till Date.

– KSU-SUG
Presidential aspirant 2021.

In tandem with my strong believe in corporate social responsibility, I was also the founder of the Social Entrepreneurship initiative; an online entrepreneur class for young generations in Kogi State.

I’m a lover of politics and held various leadership positions in organizations such as Igala Youth Development Association where I served as the Director of Education, National Secretary, Nigeria Youth For Change and State Secretary at Kogi Youth For One Voice, to mention but few.
Through such experiences, I strongly believe that I have developed the leadership, adaptability and most importantly, the assertiveness necessary to represent the interests of the students in our prestigious University (KSU) as SUG President.

I hope to communicate the students concerns and beliefs to both the Government and all Non Governmental Organizations at my disposal.
More significantly, I will ensure that all issues are effectively addressed.

I am an open-minded student who feels comfortable around a wide range of people under any given circumstance. Hence, I am able to personally connect and represent a wider cross-section of the campus; a quality which I believe not only important, but also necessary for such a diverse student body such as Students Union Government (SUG) President.

In that light, I hope that I will be your preferred candidate to represent the association as I am truthfully looking forward to working with you to make this institution, the union and home that we envision.
