Senator Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming governorship election in Kogi state on November 11th, has expressed strong belief in the party’s victory. He highlighted that the PDP is the frontrunner due to the extensive challenges left behind by the outgoing All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

Following a meeting of Kogi PDP stakeholders from all three senatorial zones of the state at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Melaye emphasized that the incoming PDP administration aims to rectify the damage inflicted on the state by the APC.

Melaye stated, “The people of Kogi State have endured significant hardships, with unpaid salaries, pensions, and a struggling healthcare and education system. The PDP intends to address these issues. With our strategic approach and the resolutions from this meeting, I am confident that PDP will triumph in Kogi State.”

He also urged the people of Kogi State not to be swayed by intimidation, threats, or violence from the APC, emphasizing that the PDP is committed to safeguarding their democratic rights.

Ambassador Iliya Damagun, the acting National Chairman of the PDP, assured attendees at the stakeholders meeting that the party is determined to achieve complete reconciliation among its members in the state. Governor Ademola Adeleke, who chairs the PDP Kogi State campaign committee, is dedicated to unifying all factions to secure victory in the election.
