The Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum fully endorsed Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) presidential candidate, in his effort to fulfill his dream of becoming Nigeria’s president in 2023, giving his campaign a significant boost.

The forum, under the direction of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Elder Capt. (King) Dr. Joseph I. Timiyan (Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom), who also serves as Chairman of the Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, prayed for his success as a sign of their support.
Prince Adebayo of the SDP addressed some of the issues that have dominated their conversations with leaders and significant stakeholders across the nation and the state while visiting the palace in February with his entourage, which also included Solomon Dalung, Ugochukwu Uba, Prof. Femi Olufunmilade, and Godwin Osigbeme.
The topics covered include unfair political appointments that disadvantage residents of the region, crude oil theft, injustice toward Niger Delta residents who have had their country’s wealth stolen to line the pockets of friends and associates, vote-buying schemes, an inability to pay salaries, and the restructuring of the agricultural sector to make the economy of the nation self-sufficient.
Adebayo claimed that moving to Delta State was like to returning home because he spent his formative years in Sapele, the administrative center of the state’s Sapele local government region.
The unique royal prayer sessions held by His Royal Majesty (HRM), King (Dr) Charles Ayemi Botu, the Pere of Seimbiri kingdom, who expressed complete support for Adebayo’s election victory, were among the visit’s standout moments.

No matter what developmental measures are implemented, he voiced the opinion that they will always be short-lived without long-term solutions, such as guaranteeing that a southern president is inaugurated in 2023 and bringing justice, fairness, and equity to the people.
“Truth is very important in the consciousness of the Ijaw people and the universe all together. Before the royal parents, we pledge to you that what the Social Democratic Party is bringing to Nigeria, are not promises of highways”.
In order for them to experience justice and the prosperity of their land, he urged the populace to support the Social Democratic Party in the general elections in 2023.
